Markham Furniture

Bill Rizk has spent 33 years in the furniture manufacturing business, including 15 years as plant manager at Barrymore Furniture, makers of some of Canada’s finest sofas.

In 1998, Bill decided to take the wealth of knowledge he had accumulated over the years and open his own furniture manufacturing and retail company, Markham Furniture.

His plan: to manufacture quality upholstered furniture and sell direct to the public at far more affordable prices than what customers would pay at fine furniture stores.

Markham Furniture sells a wide range of upholstered products, such as sofas, chairs, love seats, chaise lounges, sectionals, sofa beds, and ottomans.

The furniture has outstanding quality and workmanship. All sofas are built with solid hardwood frames, constructed with eight-way hand-tied coil springs and padded with high-density foam.

“We also do re-upholstery,” says Bill. “Customers bring us good furniture they don’t want to throw out and we will re-upholster it for them at a far less the cost of buying new.”

Markham Furniture has two locations, 1020 Denison St. in Markham, which also serves as their manufacturing plant, and another retail outlet at 3335 Yonge St. in uptown Toronto.
